Profile Julius Bauer
Co-Founder & COO Trusted E-Technology GmbH
Julius Bauer is co-founder and COO of Trusted E-Technology GmbH, which was founded in 2026 and is based in Vienna. In this role, he is responsible for the operational development and growth of the company, the implementation of its business objectives, and the development and management of business processes, customer and partner relationships, and the go-to-market strategy. Together with CEO Emanuel Peruzzi, he is driving forward the development of the web-based certification and discovery platform ‘Trusted Euro Technology’ (TET).
Bauer has more than 14 years’ experience in B2B sales, business development and account management for complex technology solutions in the fields of marketing, cyber security, data protection and artificial intelligence. His career has taken him to companies including Meta, where, as Senior Client Solutions Manager, he helped to establish and develop the retail and FMCG business in the DACH region and managed major international clients. He also advised senior executives on data-driven marketing in brick-and-mortar retail and e-commerce.
Since 2022, Bauer has also been Head of Business Development at ePrivacy GmbH, where he is responsible for business development, new client acquisition and go-to-market strategy for consultancy and certification services in the fields of cybersecurity, AI compliance and data protection, and is involved in a research project on distributed AI in medical informatics.
As a certified CISO and IT security officer, Bauer has in-depth knowledge of relevant security and compliance standards. In addition, he brings expertise in the EU AI Regulation, the NIS 2 Directive and other regulatory requirements for digital technologies, which he uses to closely align operational processes, market positioning and customer communication at TET with the requirements for security, traceability and digital sovereignty.
Bauer studied business administration, specialising in financial management, and completed an Executive MBA in Digital Management & Marketing at the University of Hamburg and the Hamburg Media School. He also took part in the Oxford Executive Leadership Programme and Meta’s Top Talent Programme, run in collaboration with Columbia Business School.
In his spare time, Bauer is a keen squash player and enjoys hiking in the mountains.
