Profile Emanuel Peruzzi
Co-Founder & CEO Trusted E-Technology GmbH
Emanuel Peruzzi is co-founder and CEO of Trusted E-Technology GmbH, which was founded in 2026 and is based in Vienna (Austria). In this role, he is responsible for the company’s strategic direction and further development, as well as for establishing and expanding the web-based certification and discovery platform ‘Trusted Euro Technology’ (TET).
Peruzzi combines in-depth technological expertise with a keen understanding of the (geo-)political, economic, business and societal dimensions of digital sovereignty. This gives him a level of expertise that directly contributes to the development of TET as an evidence-based certification platform for European technology companies. His work centres on the question of how complex requirements relating to key technological factors – such as product development, data and AI infrastructures, and corporate governance – can be translated into clear criteria and robust evidence. To this end, he has developed a comprehensive assessment system and designed processes for application submission, evidence review and verification.
Peruzzi’s academic career took him to Durham University (UK), where he completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with distinction in 2026. His areas of specialisation included, amongst others, AI ethics, deep learning, reinforcement learning and recommender systems. Even whilst still a student, Peruzzi gained extensive practical experience at the intersection of technology development, consultancy and corporate strategy. At Arena Capital and P-Hold, he worked on the integration of corporate data into AI-powered systems, secure access models and the optimisation of adtech applications using machine learning techniques.
As well as his professional work, Peruzzi is a member of the AI & Philosophy, Debating and Computing Societies, and in his spare time he is a keen amateur sportsman (volleyball, ski touring, water sports).
